SHOCKWAVE THERAPY

SHOCKWAVE THERAPY

Shockwaves are transient acoustic waves that have the unique ability to transmit high-intensity energy to painful points in the musculoskeletal system. Shock waves cause cell stimulation and growth factor release, resulting in tissue regeneration. This therapy promotes the repair processes in tendons and bones, eliminates calcifications, reduces persistent pain and relaxes overworked muscles.

SHOCKWAVE THERAPY allows selection of the depth of penetration with a constant maximum intensity. This therapy is indicated for the treatment of both superficial and deep-seated conditions.
It is an effective treatment for deep tendinopathies, calcifications and in cartilage callus mineralization delays such as pseudoarthrosis.

Osteotendinous calcifications

Unconsolidated fractures

Trigger points

Tendinopathy

Precision and focus

Precise control over the direction and intensity of the shockwaves allows precise targeting of the affected area. This maximizes treatment effectiveness and minimizes the impact on surrounding healthy tissue.

Boost healing and regeneration

Shock waves can stimulate healing and regeneration processes at the cellular level. This can help speed recovery from conditions such as tendon injuries and muscle strains

Anti-inflammatory effect

Focusat ShockWave Therapy may have anti-inflammatory effects, which help to relieve pain, reduce swelling and alleviate other symptoms associated with inflammatory conditions.

Dealing with trigger points

Shock waves can be used to treat trigger points in muscles or soft tissues. Treating trigger points can relieve pain and discomfort associated with conditions such as myofascial syndrome and other musculoskeletal disorders.

Focused Shockwave Therapy - Where that penetrates deep, heals precise

Advanced concentrated acoustic wave therapy for complex musculoskeletal conditions

Focused Shockwave uses high-energy acoustic waves, precisely targeted to the affected areas of soft tissue or bone. Unlike radial therapy, focused waves penetrate deeper (up to 12 cm) and are effective for chronic or deep lesions where other therapies have failed.

RECOMMENDATIONS

The main indications of the procedure are:

    • Chronic tendinopathies (e.g. Achilles tendinitis, epicondylitis, plantar fasciitis)
    • Shoulder calcifications (scapulohumeral periarthropathy)
    • Chronic low back pain of myofascial origin
    • Carpal tunnel syndrome (early stages)
    • Trigger point disorders (localized muscle pain)

CONTRAINDICATIONS

The procedure is not recommended for patients with the following conditions:

    • Pregnancy
    • Tumors in the treated area
    • Coagulation disorders or treatment with anticoagulants
    • Pacemaker or other implanted electronic devices
    • Acute infections in the application site

Contraindications are not absolute.

A specialist medical consultation and doctor's approval is essential.
