EMSELLA - Pelvic floor therapy

EMSELLA

EMSELLA therapy is indicated in the treatment of urinary incontinence, acting by strengthening the pelvic floor muscles. It works thanks to the patented HIFEM (High-Intensity Focused Electromagnetic Technology) system - an extremely powerful focused electromagnetic field whose intensity allows the patient to achieve supra-maximal muscle contractions while sitting comfortably on the EMSELLA applicator-potolol.
The EMSELLA device uses non-invasive electromagnetic energy and increases pelvic floor muscle tone. This regains bladder control and reduces incontinence episodes.

- A single session with this technology can induce the equivalent of 11,000 Kegel exercises in 28 minutes, making it much more effective than many other methods of strengthening the pelvic floor muscles.
95% of treated patients reported a significant improvement in quality of life.

During the procedure you will feel tingling and twitching of the pelvic muscles, but nothing painful. You can resume your daily activities immediately after the treatment.

How long does the treatment take?

One session lasts 28 minutes. Most patients need 6 sessions scheduled twice a week. But a prior consultation is necessary to create a personalized schedule.

How quickly can you see results?

Improvements can be seen from the very first session and the results will continue to improve throughout the treatment and in the following weeks.

Do questions and physical changes overwhelm you?

We are your support during this time.

What is needed before the procedure?

Annual check-ups within the last 12 months. Women need a Pap smear and men need a PSA (prostate-specific antigen) test.

It also requires a recently performed urinalysis and uroculture.

How do we monitor results?

BLADDER CONTROL ASSESSMENT QUESTIONNAIRE

Together with the doctor you will fill out the questionnaire to see your bladder control score and we will customize your treatment plan.

URINATION CALENDAR

Once your treatment plan is started, we will leave you a calendar that you will fill in daily to monitor the progress of your treatment plan. Based on your doctor's observations, the plan will be tailored and personalized to your progress.
